How we pick

Every new driver in stock at our stores under the price, right-handed, delivered price including shipping where the store publishes it. One row per model, newest model first, then the lowest price. Commission never affects the order. Click a model to see every offer and its store. Drivers are grouped by head type, from each brand's description: most forgiving (lightweight, draw-biased, high-launch), all-rounders (standard) and low-spin. Who each usually suits is a guide, not a rule: swing speed, launch and your miss decide fit, so check which driver loft and shaft flex. Start here picks, in each group, the model with the largest saving against its launch price among the group's three newest model years on the page, among models whose launch price we have on record. No pick is a review: we compare specs and prices, not how clubs play. Prices checked Oct 26.

What usually lands here

In early October 2026, the new drivers under $400 at our stores were mostly Tour Edge's 2026 line (Hot Launch Max and Max D at $299.99, Exotics LS, Max, Lite and Mini at $399.99) and Cobra's 2025 DS-Adapt heads on closeout at TGW, at about $301. Just above $400 sat Callaway's 2025 Elyte family at TGW (about $402), Ping's G440 Max, LST and SFT and TaylorMade's Qi35 at GlobalGolf (about $449), and Mizuno's JPX One. Last season's models are where new is cheapest: the same head, sold off when the next generation arrives.

New or used at this price?

$400 buys a new closeout driver or, used, a model one or two years newer: see used drivers under $300. New comes with the store's full return policy and a fresh grip, and you can often choose the shaft and flex at the store. Our new or used guide compares the two.

What to check on a new driver

Stock shaft and flex: a new driver usually ships with the brand's stock shaft in the flex you choose; see shaft flex. Loft: most golfers do best with 10.5 degrees or more (see which driver loft). Headcover and wrench: new drivers usually include both; each store's policy is on our store policies page.
