Before you buy a used wedge
Check the stamp on the hosel or sole: loft and bounce (a Vokey 56.10S is 56 degrees of loft, 10 of bounce, S grind); see bounce and grind explained. Bounce and grind decide how a wedge behaves in sand and soft turf, so match them to the wedge you're replacing. Grooves wear faster on wedges than on any other club and worn grooves spin less, so look closely at the face photos. See how condition grades compare and how to spot fake clubs.
