Srixon ZX5 and ZX7 irons: ZX, Mk II and ZXi
Srixon's ZX5 and ZX7 came out in 2021, the Mk II versions in 2023 and the ZXi5 and ZXi7 in 2025. Across all three generations the lofts and lies stayed the same. Here's what that means if you're missing one iron.

The short answer
The ZX5 Mk II has the same published loft, lie and length as the ZX5 on every club (a 31° 7-iron); the Mk II adds an AW. The ZX7 Mk II matches the ZX7 the same way (a 32° 7-iron). So a single iron from either generation fills a gap in the other.
The ZX5 and ZX7 share their 3- and 4-irons: 20° and 22°, with the same lie and length. From the 5-iron down the ZX7 is 1° to 2° weaker, so the two lines don't mix below the 4-iron.
The 2025 ZXi5 and ZXi7 keep the Mk II lofts and lies on every club. Srixon now publishes iron lengths about a quarter inch longer, but that's a change in how it measures, not in the clubs (Srixon's own spec sheet says so), so on paper every ZXi length reads 0.25 inch longer. For a missing iron, ZX, Mk II and ZXi of the same line fit at the same lofts and lies; only the head design differs.
Srixon's second-generation ZXi7 and ZXi5 reach US stores on Oct 16, 2026 with the same stock lofts again (GOLF.com); the ZXi5's published lies match the 2025 set and its PW is listed 0.25 inch longer. They have their own pages: the 2026 ZXi7 and 2026 ZXi5, plus the new ZXi5+, which replaces the ZXi4.
Which used Srixon ZX5 or ZX7 to buy
Which used Srixon ZX5 or ZX7 is the best value?
Within each line, all three generations have the same lofts and lies, so a used set from any of them plays to the same numbers. The original ZX5 and ZX7 and the Mk IIs are the value buys: the Mk II changes were mostly inside the head (Srixon itself said there was “no massive evolution” in the ZX5 Mk II), and the ZXi sets cost more. One difference to weigh: the original sets came as 8 clubs, the Mk II and ZXi as 7, and the ZX5 Mk II and ZXi5 add an AW the original ZX5 doesn't have.
On Oct 26, 2026, used Srixon ZX5 and ZX7 iron sets (full sets, right-handed, shipping included) started at $664.99 for the ZX5, $469.99 for the ZX5 Mk II, $844.99 for the ZXi5 (2025), $584.99 for the ZX7, $552.99 for the ZX7 Mk II and $844.99 for the ZXi7 (2025), at the stores Used Club Finder tracks.
Srixon ZX5 or ZX7?
The ZX5 is the more forgiving, faster iron: a forged body with a face milled on the back (MainFrame) for ball speed, and 1° to 2° stronger lofts from the 5-iron down (a 31° 7-iron). Srixon pitched the ZX5 Mk II at low- to mid-handicap golfers. The ZX7 is the players' iron: a one-piece forging with a shorter blade and a 32° 7-iron, for golfers who want tour looks and blade feel. The two share their 3- and 4-irons, and from the Mk II on every ZX head has the same topline thickness, so a combo set (ZX5 long irons, ZX7 short irons) blends at address.
What should I check before buying a used Srixon ZX set?
The generation. A Mk II looks almost like the original, so look for “Mk II” on the club or the listing; from above, the matching toplines are the tell. On the ZX7 Mk II and ZXi7, a raised section of thicker steel (PureFrame) sits behind the sweet spot, while the original ZX7 has a plain cavity. Srixon's second generation of ZXi irons (October 2026) uses the same ZXi5 and ZXi7 names and the same lofts, so check the year. A limited Black Chrome ZX5 and ZX7 Mk II came out in February 2024.

Each generation
Srixon ZX5 (2021)
The ZX5 reached US shops on January 15, 2021, at $1,299.99 for an 8-piece steel set, replacing the Z585. Srixon milled a pattern into the back of the face (MainFrame) to raise ball speed, used a SUP10 face on a forged 1020 carbon-steel body, and brought back the notches in its Tour V.T. sole. It has the same loft, lie and length as the ZX5 Mk II on every club. Sources: Srixon's ZX release, MyGolfSpy, Srixon ZX irons.
On Oct 26, 2026, a used Srixon ZX5 set (right-handed, shipping included) started at $664.99 at the stores Used Club Finder tracks.
Srixon ZX5 Mk II (2023)
The ZX5 Mk II reached US shops on January 20, 2023, at $1,199.99 for a 7-piece steel set. A second-generation MainFrame moved mass toward the toe and sole for a lower center of gravity, and every ZX Mk II iron got the same topline thickness so the models combine. Its 3-iron to PW match the ZX5 on loft, lie and length, and it adds a 50° AW. Sources: Srixon's ZX Mk II release, GolfWRX, ZX Mk II, MyGolfSpy, ZX Mk II.
On Oct 26, 2026, a used Srixon ZX5 Mk II set (right-handed, shipping included) started at $469.99 at the stores Used Club Finder tracks.
Srixon ZXi5 (2025)
The first ZXi5 reached US shops on January 24, 2025, at $1,299.99 for a 7-piece steel set. Srixon calls its forging process “i-FORGED”; the face is S20C steel, 14% softer than the Mk II's, and a third-generation MainFrame has a wider toe channel. The lofts and lies match the ZX5 and ZX5 Mk II, with every club 0.25 in longer than the Mk II. Sources: Srixon's ZXi release, Golf Digest, Srixon ZXi.
On Oct 26, 2026, a used 2025 Srixon ZXi5 set (right-handed, shipping included) started at $844.99 at the stores Used Club Finder tracks.
Srixon ZX7 (2021)
The ZX7 reached US shops on January 15, 2021, at $1,299.99 for an 8-piece steel set, updating the Z785. It's a one-piece 1020 carbon-steel forging with tungsten in the toe of the mid and long irons and a slightly shorter blade than the Z785, which Srixon aimed at better players. It has the same loft, lie and length as the ZX7 Mk II on every club. Sources: Srixon's ZX release, MyGolfSpy, Srixon ZX irons, GolfWRX, Srixon ZX irons.
On Oct 26, 2026, a used Srixon ZX7 set (right-handed, shipping included) started at $584.99 at the stores Used Club Finder tracks.
Srixon ZX7 Mk II (2023)
The ZX7 Mk II reached US shops on January 20, 2023, at $1,199.99 for a 7-piece steel set. Srixon added PureFrame, a section of 1020 steel 80% thicker forged behind the sweet spot, plus more leading-edge bounce and new sole notches. Its loft, lie and length match the ZX7 on every club. Sources: Srixon's ZX Mk II release, MyGolfSpy, ZX Mk II.
On Oct 26, 2026, a used Srixon ZX7 Mk II set (right-handed, shipping included) started at $552.99 at the stores Used Club Finder tracks.
Srixon ZXi7 (2025)
The first ZXi7 reached US shops on January 24, 2025, at $1,299.99 for a 7-piece steel set. Srixon moved it to S15C steel, the softest it had used in a forged iron, and extended the PureFrame across the back. The lofts and lies match the ZX7 and ZX7 Mk II, with every club 0.25 in longer than the Mk II. Sources: Srixon's ZXi release, Golf Digest, Srixon ZXi.
On Oct 26, 2026, a used 2025 Srixon ZXi7 set (right-handed, shipping included) started at $844.99 at the stores Used Club Finder tracks.
Srixon’s second-generation ZXi5 and ZXi7 (US retail October 16, 2026, at $1,499.99 for a 7-piece steel set) keep the first ZXi lofts, with a MainFrame iQ and PureFrame iQ and heads forged by Endo. The new ZXi5+ is a hollow players-distance iron with stronger lofts (a 29.5° 7-iron), so it doesn’t match a ZX5 set. Source: Srixon's second-generation ZXi release.
Which irons fit your set
“Identical” sets match yours on every club both make, so a single iron from one fills a gap in the other. “Same lofts” sets will fill the gap at the right loft, but check the lie or length difference with a fitter first. Either way, the head looks different from the rest of your bag.

Tell the generations apart
The Mk IIs look almost identical to the originals, so check for “Mk II” on the listing or the club. Within each line it doesn't change the specs, but the head design differs. Srixon's AW is the wedge after the PW: 50° on the ZX5 Mk II, 51° on both ZX7s.
The ZX5 and ZX7 figures come from retailer spec tables; the Mk II figures from Srixon's own tables as published by Srixon and its retailers. Each set's page names its source.
What we haven't catalogued
The original ZX4 (2021) isn't catalogued yet. The other Srixon irons have their own pages: the ZX4 Mk II used from $611.99, the ZXi4 used from $624.99, the ZXiR used from $829.99 and the ZXiU utility irons (2025 and 2026).
